Hello, internet. My guess is you didn’t stumble upon my blog by accident, there are far too many blogs floating around out there for that to happen very often. In any case, here’s a bit about me in question and answer form. If you have any more questions I’ll happily answer them in comments!
Q: Who are you?
A: My name is Louise Kuehster. My last name is pronounced like “kester” in case you were wondering. I hail from Castle Rock, Colorado, but right now I live in Norman, Oklahoma. I’m a freshman at the University of Oklahoma. If you get a chance to go here, you should, it’s fantastic.
Q: What is the purpose of this blog?
A: This is a blog to document my time as a Global Engagement Fellow at the University of Oklahoma. I have multiple reasons for having it. 1) I have a feeling that this is going to be a really great experience, and it ought to be documented. 2) Keeping an online portfolio is a requirement for the program.
Q: OK, so what is this Global Engagement Fellowship?
A: The Global Engagement Fellowship is a program at the University of Oklahoma intended to produce graduates who are internationally engaged and aware. It has several components, including involvement on campus and funding for study abroad. As a Global Engagement Fellow, I’m required to participate in various international clubs and events on campus, keep this blog, have a basic understanding or international studies, and study abroad twice.
